The Weaving

My life is but a weaving between my Lord and me,
I may not see the pattern, but He knows what it should be;
Most times I do not understand and in my foolish pride,
Forget God sees the upper, while I the underside.
Sometimes He weaveth sorrows which seemeth strange to me,
But I'll just trust His judgment and work on faithfully;
'Tis He who fills the shuttle, He knows just what is best,
So I'll just weave in earnest and leave Him with the rest.
At last when life is ended and I with Him abide,
Then I shall see the pattern upon the upper side;
And I shall know the reason why joy with pain entwined,
Was woven in the fabric of life that God designed.
The dark threads are as needful in the Creator's skillful hand,
As the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned.
But not 'til the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly,
Shall God unroll the fabric and show the reason why;

There are so many things I want to say, but I am not sure which ones you need/want to hear. The tears still sting my eyes as think about what you may be feeling and knowing you are doing so well in “walking through the valley.” It is a tough, tough road, but keep in mind that Jesus walked it for you, He knows your pain, and is now carrying you. I, too, wish you had a time machine to look ahead and know everything will be alright. ILY (((HUGS)))

Rachel, you don't know me but I found your blog through my friend Sabrina who is a friend of Julie's. Every time I read an update I am amazed at your strength and unflinching faith. You may not know this but you are encouraging and blessing your readers by allowing us to share in this hard and sorrowful journey with you....and God is being glorified! My prayers go out to you as you hurt and wrestle with what has happened..may you feel His tender touch...his healing hand upon you and your family.
